Junk Journal/Treasure Book Class
In the first class Kathy will guide you through a formula for creating the base for a junk journal. Then in the 2nd class you will embellish, layer, distress, and create this treasure full of pockets, tabs, and more. Note: there is fussy cutting for this project, so a good pair of scissors is highly recommended. Kathy's favourite scissors are in stock.
Note:
This class includes your choice of any of the available Ciao Bella Junk Journal & Ephemera Books. If you choose a style which is not in stock, then October 2nd will be the last day to choose so it can arrive in time for the class.
Bring:
non-stick craft mat
ink applicator tool and foam
liquid glue, foam adhesive
scissors (must be a good pair for fussy cutting)
Stamps: mixed media background stamps, or text or numbers
ink pad: Walnut Stain, OR colour to match the junk journal pad you choose.
paper trimmer and scoring tool
hole punch (or crop-a-dile) if you have one
Optional: a few metal eyelets
Optional: deckle edge paper trimmer was used in the sample, but a straight trimmer will work as well.
sewing needle with a large eye
Paper piercing tool if you have one.
Warning: fussy cutting is involved. In order to complete this project in the classes, homework will be required between the 1st two classes.
If needed, an additional class will be held on Sunday, Oct 19th to finish up the projects.
